Job Summary

Develops professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Determines a course of action based on guidelines and modifies processes and methods as required.

Responsibilities

Requirements & Support

  • Develops professional expertise to support deployment projects by validating customers' order requirements with the customer processing team and other stakeholders

  • Project manages the technical deployment responsibilities with the Data Center manager

  • Develops technical knowledge of the Data Centers and recommends solutions, while in partnership with more senior team members, to address internal issues within a moderate scope

  • Applies learned techniques to facilitate smooth service delivery and ensure provisioned services meet and exceed customers' expectations

  • Receives general instructions from experienced teams and team members in providing solutions cross-functionally to resolve customers' non-standard order requirements

  • Supports reinstall projects where required

Project Planning

  • Learns & develops professional expertise from senior team members to ensure tickets are set with appropriate commit dates

  • Follows up with operations and suppliers to ensure work is completed on time and according to quality standards within a moderate scope

  • Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues

Implementation and Delivery

  • Plans, develops and delivers intermediate scale customer implementations, in a moderate scope

  • Schedules implementation meetings with cross-functional groups

  • Monitors and ensures the timely closure of operations activities, by submitting accurate information the company's business system tools

Cross Functional, Support &  Communications

  • Investigates and collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve moderate issues during project implementation

  • Maintains regular communication with functional and cross-functional teams throughout the implementation

  • Handles the escalations, investigates and provides resolution to the issues with close guidance from senior team members/manager

  • Communicates with cross-functional groups on project plans and implementation progress for small to medium scale projects

Process Support/Optimization

  • Reviews business and/or technical processes (e.g. provisioning lead time, effectivity) within the Data Center and identifies opportunities for process improvements, within a moderate scope

Systems Support

  • Provides intermediate system level support for Data Center operations systems through determining a course of action based on guidelines, and modifies processes and methods as required

  • Partners with operations team members to meet solutions

Data Support/Analysis

  • Ensures operations provisioning data is accurately input into Equinix business systems tools

  • Collaborates with own team and operations team(s) to investigate and perform physical audit tasks

Vendor support

  • Receives general instructions for the project management of supplemental vendor support for EIS and operations, as it relates to the assigned deployment

Qualifications

Typical Degree & Years of Experience

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - SV5 Silicon Valley : 73,400 - 110,200 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
