About the company

Our client is a fast-growing technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Take ownership of a core internal platform area, guiding it from early experiments through to a dependable production system. The work blends hands-on prototyping with product direction, in close partnership with operations, engineering and research colleagues.

What you'll do

- Define the strategy and roadmap for your product area, from early prototypes to production systems running at scale.

- Create first versions yourself with queries, scripts, dashboards and simple prototypes, then hand off to engineering to scale.

- Convert emerging customer needs into clear workflows, requirements and project plans.

- Partner with operations, engineering and research teams to carry new systems from concept to launch.

- Rely on data to make decisions and monitor throughput, quality and cost.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- Roughly 2 to 8 years in product management, technical program management, entrepreneurship, customer-facing engineering or a technical operations role.

- A blend of technical and operational experience; a career in only product management or only software engineering is not the right match.

- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.

- Strong SQL skills and comfort delivering a working early-stage version of a tool without help.

- A history of creating your own internal tooling to tame complex operational workflows, whether at a startup, a consultancy or an operations team.

- Recent experience at a high-growth startup or a leading technology company.

- Solid product instincts and an easy working relationship with engineers and researchers.

- Willingness to work on-site in one of the two listed metropolitan areas; relocation support is not offered.

Benefits

Compensation and benefits

- Base salary: USD 145,000 to 225,000 per year

- Equity

- Flexible time off

- Health, dental and vision coverage

- Retirement plan

Location and work model

- San Francisco Bay Area, CA, United States or New York City, NY, United States

- On-site
