The Opportunity

We’re looking for a contract-to-hire Technical Recruiter to support a surge in engineering hiring. You’ll plug directly into our existing recruiting infrastructure and work closely with our in-house recruiter and engineering leadership to source, screen, and close exceptional technical talent. This engagement starts as a 3-month contract at 40 hours per week, with the explicit goal of converting to a full-time role for the right person.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants to prove their impact quickly, get deep exposure to a high-growth AI company, and earn a permanent seat on the team.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for a set of open engineering roles, from sourcing through offer close

  • Build and manage high-quality pipelines of passive technical candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, Ashby, and outbound outreach

  • Partner with hiring managers to calibrate on role requirements and technical profiles quickly

  • Conduct phone screens and coordinate interview loops with minimal oversight

  • Maintain clean pipeline data and provide regular updates on funnel health, outreach performance, and time-to-hire

  • Advise on offer strategy and help close competitive candidates in a tight market

You’ll Thrive Here If You:

  • Have 3–5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally at a high-growth startup or agency supporting tech clients

  • Can ramp quickly with limited context — you’re used to being handed open roles and figuring it out

  • Are genuinely curious about technology and can hold credible conversations with engineers about the roles you’re hiring for

  • Operate with urgency and strong judgment in fast-moving, ambiguous environments

  • Are highly organized, keep your ATS clean, and communicate proactively with hiring managers and candidates

  • Are interested in a long-term opportunity — you’re not just looking for a contract, you want to find a home

Bonus points if you:

  • Have recruited for ML, AI infrastructure, or developer tooling roles specifically

  • Are proficient with LinkedIn Recruiter, Ashby, Gem, or similar sourcing and ATS platforms

  • Have closed competitive offers against Big Tech or well-funded AI labs

  • Have prior contract-to-hire experience and know how to hit the ground running

Engagement Details

  • Type: Contract-to-Hire (starting as Independent Contractor, 1099)

  • Initial duration: 3 months, with the intent to convert to full-time

  • Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Location: In-person, San Francisco office

  • Rate: Competitive, commensurate with experience

This role begins as a contract engagement. Full-time benefits and equity are not included during the contract period but will be part of the full-time offer upon conversion.
