UCANZ Marketing Operations, Senior Manager

POSITION PREMISE

The UCANZ Marketing Operations, Senior Manager is responsible for turning global and regional marketing priorities into coordinated, localized, production-ready and successfully delivered marketing activity across the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

The role owns the regional execution layer of the marketing operating model, connecting UCANZ Marketing with Crunchyroll’s global capabilities across Integrated Planning, Campaign Operations, Marketing Production, Global Localization and Marketing Delivery. This leader ensures campaigns are operationally planned, assets are produced and localized to regional requirements, dependencies are managed and final materials are delivered accurately and on time across relevant channels and partners.

A critical responsibility is end-to-end management of marketing localization across UCANZ. The Sr. Manager coordinates translation, transcreation, cultural adaptation, versioning, approvals, quality checks and delivery for assets originating from global campaigns or created for regional initiatives, while partnering with Global Localization on standards, technology, vendors and quality frameworks.

The role reports to UCANZ Regional Marketing leadership or the designated Regional Operations leader and works closely with Campaign Operations, Marketing Production, Marketing Delivery, Regional Marketing, Title Marketing, Brand Management, Creative Services, Partnerships, Social, CRM, Paid Media, Content, Curation & Programming and global centers of excellence. Success requires exceptional organization, operational judgment, strong communication and the ability to scale consistent processes while representing UCANZ market, channel, language and cultural needs. The role will ideally be based in Los Angeles or San Francisco.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

UCANZ MARKETING OPERATIONS & EXECUTION

  • Own the operational coordination of UCANZ marketing activity, translating global and regional strategies into executable plans, milestones, asset requirements, localization needs, dependencies and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain an integrated view of regional marketing readiness and ensure activities move effectively from planning through execution and launch.
  • Coordinate multiple campaigns, markets, asset types, stakeholders and deadlines while maintaining clear ownership and accountability.
  • Establish operating standards that enable accurate, timely and scalable execution across UCANZ channels and partners.
  • Anticipate execution risks, surface decisions and proactively remove blockers that could affect quality, timing, budget or campaign activation.

REGIONAL INTEGRATED PLANNING

  • Partner with Integrated Planning to incorporate regional priorities, launches, campaigns, tentpoles, local initiatives and market requirements into broader global marketing plans.
  • Translate global plans into actionable UCANZ timelines, workstreams and readiness checkpoints.
  • Provide early visibility into local requirements, resource constraints, localization lead times, partner specifications and execution risks.
  • Coordinate planning inputs across Regional Marketing, Content, Social, CRM, Paid Media, Partnerships, Brand, PR and other stakeholders to create one integrated regional view.
  • Ensure campaign plans reflect regional priorities while leveraging common global processes, technology, production capabilities and standards.

END-TO-END MARKETING LOCALIZATION

  • Manage localization workflows for global and regional marketing assets, including copy, key art, trailers, video, social assets, paid-media creative, CRM materials, partner assets, promotional content and other campaign deliverables.
  • Coordinate translation, transcreation, cultural adaptation, versioning, review, approvals, quality assurance and final delivery against campaign deadlines.
  • Partner with Global Localization on terminology, technology, vendors, workflows and quality frameworks while retaining operational accountability for UCANZ readiness.
  • Ensure localized assets are accurate, brand-appropriate, culturally relevant, technically compliant and available in the required formats and destinations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline regionalization, reduce duplication and create scalable approaches to campaign adaptation across the four markets.

MARKETING PRODUCTION & ASSET COORDINATION

  • Partner with Marketing Production and Creative Services to communicate regional production and localization requirements early and define necessary versions, formats and specifications.
  • Ensure global source assets are structured to enable efficient regional adaptation and avoid unnecessary duplication of production work.
  • Coordinate region-specific materials when global assets do not meet UCANZ needs, including the operational interface between regional creative requirements and production resources.
  • Maintain visibility into asset status, version control, approvals, dependencies, production milestones and final delivery.
  • Support asset inventories, campaign trackers, creative briefs and shared sources of truth across the regional portfolio.

MARKETING DELIVERY & PARTNER REQUIREMENTS

  • Work with Marketing Delivery and Distribution Operations to ensure final global and localized assets are packaged, distributed and available to the correct regional destinations on time.
  • Coordinate region-specific channel, platform, commercial partner, media, regulatory, language and cultural requirements.
  • Ensure partner specifications, deadlines and delivery needs are communicated early enough to be incorporated into production and delivery workflows.
  • Provide clear escalation when assets are missing, incorrect, delayed or unable to meet activation requirements.
  • Partner with Partnerships, Regional Marketing and channel teams to support accurate delivery across third-party and commercial partner environments.

CAMPAIGN & ASSET READINESS

  • Establish readiness checkpoints for priority campaigns and launches, validating source assets, localized versions, formats, approvals, metadata, specifications and delivery destinations.
  • Identify risks early and coordinate resolution across Campaign Operations, Marketing Production, Global Localization, Marketing Delivery and regional teams.
  • Maintain clear visibility into asset availability, localization status, production milestones, delivery readiness, risks and decisions required.
  • Lead or facilitate operational check-ins, status reviews and launch-readiness meetings across regional and global stakeholders.
  • Support post-launch follow-up and ensure outstanding delivery or asset issues are documented and resolved.

OPERATIONAL ISSUE MANAGEMENT & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Serve as the regional operational control point when marketing assets, localization, production or delivery issues threaten campaign execution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional triage, maintain accountability through resolution, communicate impact and status, and escalate systemic issues to the appropriate global leaders.
  • Track performance across campaign readiness, on-time asset availability, localization turnaround, production delivery, error rates, rework and recurring operational issues.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve global-to-regional handoffs, reduce duplicate work, automate repetitive activity and strengthen scalability.
  • Develop reusable playbooks, templates, governance and best practices that improve speed, visibility, quality and collaboration across UCANZ and global teams.
  • Support the development of operational capabilities, tools and processes that enable consistent execution across the region.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing operations, campaign operations, creative operations, localization, marketing production, media operations or a related field within entertainment, streaming, media, technology or another global consumer business.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-market marketing campaigns with dependencies across planning, creative production, localization, asset management and delivery.
  • Strong understanding of marketing localization, including translation, transcreation, cultural adaptation, asset versioning, review and approval workflows and localized creative delivery at scale.
  • Experience coordinating both globally originated campaigns and locally originated marketing activity, operating effectively between central capabilities and regional business needs.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing production workflows across digital, video, social, paid media, CRM, partner marketing and promotional creative.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across matrixed organizations and build effective relationships among regional teams and global functions.
  • Excellent project and operational management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, markets, languages, asset types, dependencies and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to identify execution risks early and drive issues through resolution.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to influence across functions, cultures and time zones.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to brand consistency, localization quality, executional excellence and the fan experience.
  • Familiarity with campaign-management, project-management, digital asset-management, localization-management and marketing-delivery platforms.
  • Experience working with creative agencies, localization vendors, production partners, media agencies and external distribution or commercial partners is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience improving marketing workflows through standardization, automation, operational metrics and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience in anime, entertainment, streaming, television, gaming or another global content-led consumer business is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
