Reporting to and partnering closely with the Chief Communications Officer, this leader will translate M&A, HR, organizational change, and global initiatives into coordinated communication strategies, stakeholder playbooks, leader materials, and measurable engagement plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Strategy & Change Communications

  • Lead communications planning and execution for M&A integration, HR initiatives, organizational changes, operating model updates, and global enterprise programs, ensuring leaders and employees receive clear, timely, and actionable information.
  • Build the workplans, stakeholder maps, message architectures, editorial calendars, approval processes, and measurement approaches needed to execute consistently across regions and functions.
  • Manage the strategic partnership between Corporate Communications and HR, serving as the primary point of alignment on talent, culture, org-design, and employee-experience initiatives to ensure integrated planning and consistent messaging.

Leadership Engagement

  • Lead communications support for events, leadership visits, town halls, and engagement programs, ensuring clear sequencing and consistent enterprise messaging.
  • Write speeches, video scripts, discussion guides, and talking points for senior leaders, translating business priorities into clear, audience-ready messages.

Reputation, Issues & Governance

  • Partner with senior communications leaders to ensure internal, leadership, and stakeholder communications are aligned with Circana’s corporate narrative, reputation priorities, and business strategy.
  • Support M&A and Legal workstreams by partnering with Legal to develop disciplined stakeholder communications for litigation-related, regulatory, and disclosure-sensitive matters, ensuring materials are aligned, appropriately reviewed, and managed with discretion.
  • Serve as a trusted communications partner to HR, M&A, regional, and business stakeholders, providing counsel on message strategy, employee impact, timing, risks, and execution.
  • Maintain communications governance, standards, and best practices that reinforce execution discipline and clear decision-making across complex initiatives.
  • Use employee insights, channel analytics, feedback loops, and post-initiative retrospectives to evaluate communications effectiveness and continuously improve clarity, engagement, and adoption.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic corporate communications, ideally within fast-paced, highly regulated industries such as information services, financial services, or technology.
  • Proven success leading multi-stakeholder communications for mergers, acquisitions, or organizational transformations.
  • Experience coordinating with external communications, including PR, legal, HR, M&A, strategy, and leadership.
  • Experience supporting Legal-driven and issues-management workstreams, including litigation, regulatory, disclosure-sensitive, response protocol, and employee-facing stakeholder communications.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise messaging.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under tight timeframes, manage through ambiguity, and influence across functions and levels.
  • Executive presence and discretion.
  • Demonstrated background supporting senior leadership communications, including executive messaging, leader visibility, and speechwriting programs.
  • Sound judgment on communications matters, with the conviction to advise employees at all levels, from entry-level to C-suite, while building productive colleague relationships.
  • Experience working across global teams and regions.
  • Experience using data, feedback, and employee insights to measure and improve results.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Highly conscientious, with strong attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or related field (MBA or relevant graduate degree a plus).
