The client seeking a Vice President of Operations to partner with executive leadership and strengthen the company for its next chapter. This is a real enterprise role responsible for portfolio performance, operating rhythm, talent development, field / office alignment, and the systems required to support larger and more complex assignments.
What this role will own
• Oversee the health of the active portfolio with direct visibility into schedule, financial performance, staffing, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Lead Project Executives, senior operations staff, and key field leadership while driving consistency across projects.
• Improve reporting, forecasting, issue escalation, manpower planning, recovery action, and project startup / handoff discipline.
• Partner with leadership on hiring, succession planning, leadership development, and org design.
• Translate growth into disciplined execution instead of reactive firefighting.
What strong candidates bring
• Senior operations leadership experience with a strong track record across multiple large vertical projects.
• Commercial acumen, field credibility, and the leadership presence to influence executives and jobsites alike.
• Demonstrated ability to build teams, upgrade systems, and improve outcomes in a fast-moving contractor environment.
• History of building client trust while still holding internal teams to high standards.
• Florida market experience strongly preferred.
