Vice President, SME Commercialization for North LAC
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are a central pillar of Mastercard's growth strategy across the North Division, including Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America.
This role will lead the SME commercialization agenda, ensuring that products, solutions, and value propositions are competitive, relevant, and aligned with the evolving needs of the SME segment across different markets and clusters.
The Vice President, SME Commercialization for North LAC will drive strategic direction, oversee product and go-to-market activities, support sales execution, and enable sustainable growth of the SME segment, including the exploration and development of new B2B payment flows in the North Division.
In this senior leadership role, the selected candidate will:• Define and execute the strategic agenda for the SME segment across Mexico, Caribbean, and Central America, driving growth and strengthening Mastercard's leadership position• Ensure SME products and value propositions are best-in-class and tailored to the needs of different SME sub-segments and market clusters• Leverage Mastercard's benefits, loyalty, and services capabilities to enhance product differentiation and value delivery• Influence and support sales teams in engaging clients, building compelling business cases, and advancing SME-related opportunities• Identify, open, and develop new B2B payment flows opportunities as a key growth lever for the SME segment, exploring new use cases and pipeline across different clusters• Monitor financial performance and provide executive-level reporting on SME segment results• Work closely with internal teams such as Products, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Delivery between others to ensure alignment and effective execution
The ideal candidate for this position should:• Have extensive experience in SME banking, commercial payments, or financial services, with a strong background in business development and product management or segment leadership• Demonstrate strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate market opportunities into actionable commercial plans• Have experience leading multifunctional teams and influencing stakeholders across a matrixed organization• Be data-driven, with the ability to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and adjust strategies accordingly• Demonstrate strong organizational and networking skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously• Communicate fluently in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing• Hold a bachelor's degree; an advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is preferred
