Description

We’re a fast-moving AI startup building next-generation infrastructure for the world’s most demanding AI workloads. Our mission is to accelerate the future of intelligence by delivering cutting-edge server solutions optimized for large-scale inference. Backed by top-tier investors and led by industry veterans, we’re scaling rapidly and looking for our founding VP of Sales to turn a breakthrough architecture into a business. This is a rare chance to shape how a new category of AI infrastructure reaches the market, and to build a sales organization that grows with it from the ground floor.

About the position

We're hiring our first VP of Sales to land and close the world's most demanding AI infrastructure buyers: hyperscalers, frontier AI labs, leading neoclouds, and large enterprises running memory-intensive workloads. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to own the most important deals the company will sign.

Our initial focus is on hyperscalers and frontier AI labs, where memory-intensive inference workloads such as large-model serving, long-context and agentic applications give our architecture its clearest advantage. Large enterprise and large neoclouds are part of the funnel and important targets as well. Experience and strong relationships selling into these first segments will weigh most heavily in our selection.

You will identify and pursue a focused list of tier-1 accounts and turn early interest into evaluations and then contractual purchase commitments. You'll structure our agreements for a new hardware platform, including evaluation terms, volume and capacity reservations, and milestone-based commitments. You'll also run long, multi-threaded sales cycles across customer infrastructure, ML, engineering, data center operations, procurement, and executive stakeholders.

You'll work directly with the founders and our business, product, and technology teams. You'll lead a credible technical sale, bring structured customer requirements back into the product, and build the foundation of the sales team as the business grows.

Reporting and Support

You will report directly to the CEO and be part of the company’s senior leadership team. You will lead commercial negotiations and own pricing and commercial terms within a framework agreed with the CEO and Business Operations. You will have dedicated access to our architects, solutions engineers, Product leadership and to evaluation systems and benchmarking resources, and the founders will be personally involved in strategic accounts, providing executive sponsorship and technical credibility at key stages of each deal.

What You'll Do

  • Own the tier-1 pipeline and close the deals. Personally lead all early strategic deals from end to end. Negotiate terms such as prepayments, NRE, pricing tiers tied to deployment at scale, conversion from evaluation to production, and keep each cycle moving through benchmarking, qualification, and executive approval.
  • Lead technical sales. Work with our architects and solutions engineers to translate our product’s memory-centric design into the outcomes each buyer cares about: TCO per token, users served per server, power and footprint savings, and workloads that aren't practical on GPU systems today. Define evaluation criteria with customers so a successful evaluation leads directly to a commercial decision.
  • Be the voice of the customer inside Majestic. Partner with Product Management to bring structured customer requirements back to our product, systems, and software teams, covering target workloads, model sizes and context lengths, power and cooling limits, software-stack and framework expectations, and deployment models (on-premises, colocation, or cloud) and space limitations.
  • Build the sales team. As commitments grow, hire a team of strategic account executives and solutions architects. Set up the processes, deal desk, and CRM discipline the company will need as we scale.
  • Shape long term go-to-market strategy. Work with Business Operations on pricing, positioning and routes to market, including direct sales, OEM/ODM and system-integrator partnerships, and cloud or neocloud channels. Build the forecast and commitment book that informs manufacturing and supply planning.

Requirements
  • 15+ years of sales experience in servers/racks/compute systems, AI accelerators, or semiconductors for data center infrastructure, including at least 5 years leading strategic sales or major account teams.
  • Demonstrated success in personally winning early customers for new compute platforms, ideally before general availability, and converting technical evaluations into binding commercial commitments. Candidates should be able to explain their individual contribution, the risks they helped both parties resolve, and the progression from initial engagement to production adoption. Experience negotiating large, multi-year infrastructure agreements is highly valued.
  • A founder-level ownership mindset. You're energized by being the first sales leader, doing the work yourself, and building the function from nothing.
  • Existing senior relationships with infrastructure and capacity decision-makers at relevant organizations, and the credibility to get a meeting with them in weeks, not quarters.
  • Deep familiarity with how large buyers qualify and procure new compute platforms, including benchmarking, supplier qualification, capacity planning cycles, and multi-year purchase and supply agreements.
  • Strong technical fluency in AI. You should be able to discuss Agentic and Inference economics, model mapping and serving strategies, server and rack-level power and cooling, and the AI software stack with ML engineers and infrastructure architects, and then turn that into a business case for a CFO.
  • Sophisticated commercial judgment: comfort with complex term sheets, risk-sharing structures, and negotiations where both sides are taking a bet on each other.
  • Willingness to travel to Israel as needed and extensively to customer sites throughout the U.S. and internationally. Flexible hours to work seamlessly with Israel-based CEO.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales or business development leadership at an AI silicon or systems company such as NVIDIA, AMD, Intel, Broadcom, Supermicro, Cerebras, Groq, SambaNova, or a comparable inference-focused startup, or at a supercomputing/HPC systems vendor such as HPE (Cray) or Dell, where next-generation systems are often sold quarters before release.
  • Experience on the buy side, for example leading infrastructure or capacity procurement at a hyperscaler or frontier lab.

What Success Looks Like

  • First 6 months: A prioritized target list agreed with the founders, executive-level engagement with most target accounts, and at least one signed evaluation or early-access agreement.
  • Longer term: Binding purchase commitments from a set of anchor customers, a committed-volume forecast that supports manufacturing plans, and a scaling sales team.

We seek smart, curious, self-driven individuals who enjoy creative problem-solving and continuous learning. Even if you don't meet all requirements, we'd love to hear from you if you have the mindset to tackle complex challenges.

Majestic Labs is an equal opportunity employer deeply committed to diversity of background and thought. If you are ready to dare greatly, learn from mistakes, engage in vigorous debates, and help create a step-function shift in human technical capability, we want to meet you!
