Job Description


The Workday Senior Systems Analyst serves as a key member of the Enterprise Applications team and is responsible for the ongoing configuration, support, enhancement, and optimization of the Workday platform across Human Capital Management (HCM), Financials, Payroll, and Supply Chain. This role serves as both a technical and functional expert, partnering with business stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, drive system adoption, and ensure the stability of Workday solutions.

The position balances responsibilities across Workday Integrations, Business Process Configuration and Administration, and Security, Reporting, and End User Support. The analyst will lead the design and support of integrations, create and maintain business processes, troubleshoot system issues, manage security administration, develop reports, and provide expert guidance to business users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Workday integrations utilizing: Workday Studio Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) Core Connectors Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST) Cloud Connect and third-party integration tools where applicable

  • Monitor integration performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure data accuracy and timely processing.

  • Troubleshoot inbound and outbound integration failures and coordinate resolution with internal and external partners.

  • Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable integration solutions.

  • Maintain integration documentation, technical specifications, and support procedures.

  • Evaluate opportunities to automate business processes through system integrations.

  • Participate in Workday releases and regression testing for impacted integrations.

  • Ensure integration security and compliance with organizational data governance standards.

  • Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday business processes across HCM, Payroll, Financials, and Supply Chain modules.

  • Lead the design, implementation, and enhancement of business processes to improve efficiency and user experience.

  • Analyze operational requirements and recommend configuration solutions aligned with best practices.

  • Troubleshoot business process issues, routing failures, approval bottlenecks, and system inconsistencies.

  • Configure notifications, condition rules, eligibility criteria, validations, and custom routing.

  • Support organizational changes, acquisitions, restructures, and business transformation initiatives within Workday.

  • Partner with HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and operational leaders to evaluate and improve current-state processes.

  • Document system configurations and maintain change management procedures.

  • Support Workday semiannual releases, feature evaluations, testing, and implementation of new functionality.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Workday configuration and business process best practices.

  • Configure and maintain Workday security groups, domains, role assignments, and access controls.

  • Perform security audits and support compliance with organizational security policies.

  • Create, maintain, and optimize Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.

  • Support business users with reporting and analytics requests.

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 Workday support for system issues, configuration questions, and process troubleshooting.

  • Develop user documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials.

  • Conduct end-user training and support organizational adoption of Workday functionality.

  • Participate in ongoing system governance and enhancement planning.

  • Collaborate with internal audit, HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure secure and compliant system operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of Workday administration, configuration, or support experience.

  • Experience supporting both Workday integrations and business process configuration.

  • Strong understanding of Workday business process framework and security concepts.

  • Experience troubleshooting complex Workday production issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of Workday experience supporting multiple functional areas.

  • Experience supporting two or more Workday modules including: HCM Payroll Time Tracking Benefits Financial Management Supply Chain

  • Proficiency with: Workday Studio EIBs Core Connectors Workday Web Services Calculated Fields Advanced Reporting Security Administration

  • Experience leading Workday enhancements and project implementations.

  • Workday Pro certifications or equivalent Workday expertise.

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
