About Uncountable

Uncountable builds an AI-powered R&D platform used by specialty chemicals and materials science companies to accelerate product development. We're a fast-growing team with offices in San Francisco, London, New York, and Munich, working with some of the world's leading manufacturers and research organizations.

About the Role

We're hiring a part-time Workplace Operations Manager to run day-to-day operations for our San Francisco office. You'll handle the logistics that keep the office functional and organized, and you'll shape the culture side too - planning events and building the kind of environment people want to work in.

This role is great for someone who's organized, personable, and takes pride in the small details that make an office feel welcoming rather than just functional.

What You'll Do

Office Operations

  • Manage day-to-day office operations, keeping things stocked, tidy, and running smoothly

  • Order and maintain snacks and office supplies

  • Coordinate lunch and dinner orders on designated days

  • Check and distribute mail

  • Welcome guests and visitors, and serve as the go-to person for office-related questions

  • Serve as the point of contact with building management for maintenance, access, and building-related issues

Culture & Morale

  • Help make the office a fun, inviting place to work

  • Plan and execute happy hours and other team events

  • Bring ideas for small touches and traditions that build team morale and office culture

  • Support leadership with ad hoc special projects as they come up

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience in office management, administrative support, hospitality, or a similar people-facing operations role

  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple small tasks at once without things falling through the cracks

  • Warm, personable, and genuinely enjoys creating a good experience for others

  • Reliable availability most weekdays. Preferred availability is 3-4 days in office per week.

  • Based in or near San Francisco, able to be on-site consistently

  • Comfortable working independently with light oversight

  • Tech-comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and expense/ordering platforms

  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs (packages, catering trays, supply stock) and remain on your feet as needed

Nice to Have

  • Experience planning small office events or happy hours

  • Familiarity with vendor/building management coordination

  • Experience supporting a team through growth (new hire onboarding, space changes, etc.)

Benefits

· Company sponsored 401k plan with company contributions

· Commuter benefits for public transit and parking

· Company sponsored lunches/snacks

This is a part-time, non-exempt hourly position. Hours and schedule are flexible within the 10-20 hr/week range, based on business needs and candidate availability.
