Scoot was founded in San Francisco, California, in 2012 with the goal of making electric vehicles available to everyone as a way to reduce traffic, pollution and climate change in cities. Scoot started with a small fleet of electric Scoot Motos, or mopeds, that could be rented through an app. Today, Scoot has expanded to Santiago and Barcelona.
