About the company

Our client is a fast-growing technology company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own a portfolio of key customer relationships in a commercial, customer-facing position. Work alongside internal delivery colleagues to shape customer objectives into concrete plans, uncover growth within existing accounts and win new business.

What you'll do

- Take ownership of existing accounts, keep relationships strong and grow them across several major customers at the same time.

- Spot and close upsell opportunities with current customers, and bring in new ones, carrying deals from signed agreement through to revenue.

- Develop real depth in the subject area so you can act as a trusted advisor to customers' technical staff.

- Turn customer objectives into clear plans of action in coordination with internal colleagues.

- Partner with internal teams to make sure commitments made to customers are met with high quality.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- Around 4 years in strategy, consulting or a comparable customer-facing role at a technology or data business; fewer years can be considered with closely relevant domain experience.

- A background in business-to-business roles where you created pipeline and guided technical buyers toward complex solutions.

- Commercial instincts and comfort building relationships with both technical specialists and senior leaders.

- Technical aptitude and the ability to pick up an unfamiliar data workflow quickly; this is a commercial strategy role, not an engineering one.

- Working knowledge of SQL.

- Confidence handling unclear problems where priorities shift often.

- Experience at a high-growth startup, a technology company or a leading management consultancy.

- A collaborative style with colleagues in delivery and research functions.

- A STEM degree is preferred.

- Ability to work on-site 5 days a week.

Bonus points

- Prior commercial experience, including growing existing accounts.

- Engagement manager experience in consulting.

- Early-stage startup experience.

  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
