About the company

Our client is an early-stage software company.

The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join as the first engineer and take broad ownership of product and technical direction, working across the full stack. You will build and run reliable production systems, develop AI-driven features and work closely with customers to turn their needs into shipped software.

What you'll do

- Build measurement and attribution systems that connect product activity to business outcomes.

- Scale automation and data retrieval infrastructure that supports the platform.

- Improve the reliability of core workflows with queues, retries and observability.

- Adapt the product as new industry standards and platform launches emerge.

- Develop AI agents, integration servers and new product surfaces.

- Own work across frontend and backend, focusing on the highest-impact problems.

- Help decide what gets built and how priorities shift as the market evolves.

- Work in short feedback loops with customers to turn needs into shipped features.

- Shape engineering culture and architecture from the start.

Requirements

What we're looking for

- 3 to 7 years of software engineering experience, ideally at a fast-moving startup or high-growth company.

- Strong full-stack skills in TypeScript and Node.js, able to ship across the stack independently.

- Experience building AI agents or agent-based systems, including LLM API use in production.

- High agency, resilience through shifting priorities, and comfort wearing multiple hats.

- Ability to prioritize at a granular level without close management.

- Willingness to work in person.

Bonus points

- Experience with Postgres, Redis, queues and asynchronous job systems.

- Background in browser automation, scraping or retrieval infrastructure.

- Experience with agent context management, orchestration and evaluation.

- Experience with developer tools or workflow products.

- Exposure to ecommerce, search, attribution or analytics systems.

- Experience building codebases that work well with AI agents.
