This team plays a critical role in fuelling Airwallex’s growth by turning curiosity into conversion and building repeatable systems that deliver real impact.
What you’ll do
We’re looking for a high-performing, strategic thinker to join our SME & Growth team as an Inbound Sales Representative. This role goes beyond traditional sales — we want someone with strong sales skills, but also eager to analyse the funnel, identify inefficiencies, and drive scalable improvements.
You will own the end-to-end journey for inbound leads — qualifying, converting, and activating business customers. You’ll also work closely with cross-functional teams to continuously optimize the sales and onboarding funnel using data and insights.
This is an opportunity for someone who’s motivated by impact, confident working towards clear goals, and eager to contribute both tactically and strategically in a high-growth and fast-paced fintech environment.
Responsibilities
Consistently meet and exceed KPIs by driving value through every stage of the sales process
Manage the full inbound sales cycle — from qualification through to conversion — advancing opportunities efficiently
Quickly learn and adapt to new products, tools, and processes to maintain effectiveness in a fast-paced environment
Take ownership of your pipeline and work independently to resolve challenges and drive results
Use curiosity and commercial insight to understand customer needs and align solutions that deliver impact
Analyze funnel data to identify bottlenecks and implement strategies to improve conversion rates
Leverage CRM platforms and sales metrics to track progress, prioritize efforts, and make informed decisions
Maintain high attention to detail and strong organizational discipline to effectively handle a high-volume inbound funnel
Who you are
You have a proven track record of consistently hitting goals and delivering value in complex situations
You understand the full sales process — from qualification through to conversion — and know how to move opportunities forward
You’re a fast, self-directed learner — comfortable navigating new products, systems, and problems
You thrive in environments where you’re trusted to figure things out and drive outcomes autonomously
You’re curious and commercially minded — eager to understand customer needs and connect them to real solutions
You think strategically about the funnel — identifying where deals get stuck and how to improve conversion
You’re confident working with data, sales metrics, and CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) to inform decisions
You bring strong attention to detail and strong organisational habits to manage high volume inbound funnel
Minimum qualifications
1-2+ years’ track record of success in sales
You have a strong interest in and understanding of technology and/or financial services
Experience in being a self-starter who can operate effectively in a hyper-growth environment
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

AI Engineering

Our SF AI Engineering team at Airwallex is building production-grade AI that automates the hardest parts of global finance — from payments and onboarding to reconciliation, bookkeeping, and tax. Sitting on top of our proprietary global payments infrastructure and massive real-time transaction datasets, we design and ship vertical AI systems — from LLM-powered copilots and agentic workflows to fine-tuned models — that reach customers quickly and at scale. We’re a small, senior, zero-ego group with high ownership: engineers work end to end from problem framing and experimentation through to deployment and evals, using the right tool for the job to turn deep AI work into visible, shipped impact.
