Attributes We Value

We hire successful builders with founder-like energy who want real impact, accelerated learning, and true ownership. You bring strong role-related expertise and sharp thinking, and you’re motivated by our mission and operating principles. You move fast with good judgment, dig deep with curiosity, and make decisions from first principles, balancing speed and rigor.

You're humble and collaborative; turn zero‑to‑one ideas into real products, and you “get stuff done” end-to-end. You use AI to work smarter and solve problems faster. Here, you’ll tackle complex, high‑visibility problems with exceptional teammates and grow your career as we build the future of global banking. If that sounds like you, let’s build what’s next.

What you'll do

As Senior Manager, Risk Operation AI Enablement, you will be at the forefront of transforming our risk operations through AI. You will partner with operations, product, and engineering teams to identify, prototype, and deploy AI solutions that drive efficiency, scalability, and proactive risk control. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for whom thrives at the intersection of operational excellence and technical innovation. This role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with different Operations teams to identify high-impact AI use cases and lead the design and execution of proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate feasibility and business value.

  • Collaborate with Engineering to deploy successful AI solutions into production, ensuring robust integration with existing workflows and systems.

  • Continuously monitor and analyze AI agent performance post go-live, iterating on models and workflows to optimize accuracy, efficiency, and business outcomes.

  • Rapidly build and iterate on operational AI tools using low-code or no-code platforms, empowering Ops teams to scale solutions with minimal engineering bottlenecks.

  • Act as the bridge between Operations, Engineering, Data Science, and Compliance, ensuring alignment and effective execution of AI initiatives.

  • Ensure all AI solutions adhere to regulatory requirements, internal governance standards, and best practices for responsible AI in financial services.

  • Shape and drive strategic initiatives to uplift risk management, operational efficiency, and customer experience through AI.

Who you are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum requirements for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Deep operational domain knowledge, especially familiar with operational flows in risk operations, KYC/AML, fraud, or credit risk.

  • Strong coding skills and hands-on experience with low-code/no-code platforms.

  • Demonstrated experience in building, deploying, and optimizing AI/ML solutions in production environments.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project leadership skills.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in risk management, operations, or technology roles within fintech or financial services, with a proven track record of AI/ML solution delivery.

  • Experience with building AI solutions in risk management.

This job description is designed to attract high-caliber, technically skilled, and operationally savvy leaders who can bridge the gap between risk operations and AI-driven transformation, reflecting both Airwallex’s internal standards and best practices in leading fintechs.
