As Pacific Defense continues to scale production across multiple programs and product families, we are seeking an experienced supply chain leader capable of managing a complex, fast-paced production environment with a broad mix of products, configurations, suppliers, and customer delivery requirements.

Who Are We Looking For?

Pacific Defense is seeking a Senior Manager, Production Planning & Procurement to lead production planning, material planning, procurement, and supplier execution across our manufacturing organization.

This individual will be responsible for ensuring that customer demand is translated into executable production and material plans and that purchased material is available to support production schedules and contractual delivery commitments.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience supporting the manufacture of products for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) or other highly regulated aerospace and defense customers. The candidate should be comfortable operating in a high-mix, low-to-medium-volume environment with many different assemblies, configurations, and customer requirements being managed simultaneously, similar to a sophisticated contract manufacturer or electronics manufacturing services organization.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring the ability to move between strategic supply-chain planning and daily execution. The successful candidate will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, Quality, Finance, Configuration Management, and suppliers to identify risks, resolve shortages, establish priorities, and maintain alignment between customer requirements, material availability, and production capacity.


Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in production planning, material planning, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations, preferably within aerospace, defense, electronics, or another highly regulated industry.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience managing planning, procurement, supply chain, or related teams.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting the production of products for the U.S. Department of Defense or major defense prime contractors.
  • Strong understanding of the requirements and discipline associated with manufacturing mission-critical defense electronics and systems.
  • Experience working in a high-mix, low-to-medium-volume manufacturing environment with numerous simultaneous builds, configurations, priorities, and customer requirements.
  • Experience operating in an environment similar to a contract manufacturer or electronics manufacturing services provider, where priorities can change quickly and multiple product lines must be managed concurrently.
  • Strong understanding of MRP and ERP-driven production and material planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex Bills of Material containing electronic, mechanical, cable, PCB/PWA/CCA, and commercially sourced components.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing, supplier management, material planning, inventory management, and production scheduling.
  • Ability to analyze demand, supply, lead times, inventory, capacity, and production requirements and translate them into executable plans.
  • Experience managing long-lead and allocation-constrained electronic components.
  • Working knowledge of configuration management, ECO implementation, BOM management, and revision-controlled manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of supplier quality and delivery-performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify supply-chain risks and develop effective mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to present material, production, and supplier status clearly to senior management.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment where priorities frequently evolve based on customer and program requirements.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on tactical execution.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting customer delivery commitments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience manufacturing complex electronic systems, modules, CCAs/PWAs, RF products, embedded computing systems, or ruggedized military electronics.
  • Experience supporting DoD production programs from prototype or engineering development through rate production.
  • Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with DFARS, ITAR, CMMC, counterfeit-parts prevention, and defense-industry supply-chain requirements.
  • Experience with DMSMS and component obsolescence management.
  • Experience developing and managing strategic suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Experience scaling supply chains to support rapidly increasing customer demand.
  • Experience implementing or improving ERP/MRP systems and associated planning processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
