Overview

We are looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own the go-to-market engine and contribute to the product strategy inputs that fuel it. This is a hybrid role that blends the best of product marketing and product management.  You will drive GTM execution while also sitting close to the product roadmap, contributing market intelligence, competitive analysis, and structured product requirements that shape what we build next.

You will be the connective tissue between product, creative, PR, e-commerce, and retail — translating hardware innovation into compelling stories and winning launch strategies that resonate with competitive players, press, and partners. Equally, you will bring the outside in: synthesizing market trends, player feedback, and competitive dynamics into MRDs and PRDs that help our product team make better decisions.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of launching consumer electronics or gaming hardware products end-to-end,  ideally in the gaming peripherals or accessories space, and has experience contributing to or owning product roadmap development. You understand what it takes to win with a performance-driven audience and can operate fluidly at the intersection of marketing strategy and product thinking. You are highly organized, a sharp communicator, and thrive when managing multiple priorities simultaneously without losing detail or momentum.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap Input

  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis across the gaming controller and peripherals landscape, tracking competitor product releases, pricing moves, feature positioning, and channel strategies. Translate findings into actionable insights for the product and marketing teams

  • Author Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) that synthesize voice-of-customer research, market trend analysis, and competitive gaps into clear product opportunity briefs for stakeholders

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to develop and review Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), ensuring that market context, player needs, and positioning considerations are embedded from the start

  • Contribute to product roadmap planning by providing data-backed recommendations on feature prioritization, product line gaps, and opportunity sizing

  • Serve as the market intelligence hub for the team — monitoring industry trends, player community feedback, and emerging competitive threats to inform both near-term launches and longer-term roadmap decisions

Go-to-Market Strategy & New Product Launches

  • Serve as the single source of truth for all product launch timelines, owning the GTM calendar and cross-functional launch readiness across all new product introductions (NPI)

  • Develop end-to-end GTM strategies and launch plans including target audience definition, messaging frameworks, positioning, and activation sequencing

  • Lead creative brief development and manage review cycles to ensure all launch assets (packaging, digital, retail, and PR) are on-message and on-time

  • Own product naming across NPIs and design variants, ensuring consistency with brand architecture

  • Manage global product launches and develop localized GTM strategies for key international markets, including market analysis, messaging adaptation, and regional activation planning

  • Develop product education content including quick-start guides, reviewer guides, how-to content, and FAQs that reduce friction and drive customer confidence

E-Commerce Marketing & Retail Presence

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop strategy and execution of direct-to-consumer and channel marketing across key retail and e-commerce partners, elevating content quality and brand representation

  • Proactively partner with channel teams to anticipate needs, improve merchandising standards, and push for content optimization and A/B testing

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience

  • 6–8+ years of combined product marketing and product management experience, with a strong track record of owning GTM strategy and contributing to product roadmap development

  • Demonstrated experience authoring MRDs and/or PRDs, conducting structured competitive analysis, and translating market insights into product requirements

  • Demonstrated experience launching consumer electronics or gaming hardware products — gaming peripherals, accessories, or controllers strongly preferred — with ownership across messaging, creative, packaging, and channel

  • Experience marketing to a performance-driven or enthusiast consumer audience (esports, competitive gaming, or similar communities a strong plus)

  • Experience managing PR agency relationships and building structured media and reviewer programs

  • Track record of leading cross-functional product launches across retail, direct-to-consumer, and channel environments

  • Familiarity with customization or build-to-order product lines is a plus

  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Atlanta, GA; US work authorization required

Skills & Competencies

  • Operates comfortably at the intersection of product marketing and product management — equally at home in a GTM planning session and a roadmap review

  • Structured thinker and clear writer, able to distill complex market dynamics into crisp MRDs, PRDs, and competitive briefs that drive alignment across teams

  • Deep understanding of GTM strategy and execution — you know how to build a launch plan and drive it across a complex, cross-functional organization

  • Exceptional product storytelling and positioning skills; able to translate technical specs and performance features into narratives that move competitive gamers and mainstream buyers alike

  • Strong cross-functional collaborator, comfortable working alongside product, creative, PR, sales, channel, and operations

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous launches and workstreams without losing detail or quality

  • Data-informed decision maker — comfortable pulling insights from campaign performance, sell-through data, and market trends to guide both marketing and product decisions

  • Experience with digital asset management platforms (e.g., MediaValet, Cloudinary) and e-commerce merchandising a plus

  • Genuine passion for gaming and competitive play; familiarity with the SCUF brand, esports ecosystem, or controller customization market is a significant advantage

Reporting & Collaboration

Reports to: Director of Product Marketing — provides regular performance updates and owns GTM calendar and cross-functional launch coordination.

Works closely with: Product, Creative, E-Commerce, PR, Sales, and Channel Marketing teams to drive cohesive, high-quality execution across all launches and campaigns — and to ensure market intelligence flows upstream into product roadmap decisions.
