Develop and execute Finix’s social media strategy across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels. About Finix
Finix is building the global operating system for fintech, starting with payments. From startups to publicly traded companies, Finix processes tens of billions of dollars annually both in-store and online. Finix was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in San Francisco.
To date Finix has raised over $200M, including a $75M Series C led by Acrew Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners and backed by American Express Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Homebrew, Inspired Capital, Visa, and others
We’re looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to grow Finix’s social presence and help build our social strategy and team. You’ll create and manage content across our channels (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, our executives’ profiles, and emerging platforms) to build engagement, brand awareness, and trust with the businesses we serve.
You’ll help decide what Finix says and where we say it, then own the details that turn each post into conversations, community, and pipeline. That means making payments, a famously dense topic, clear and interesting for CFOs and software leaders.
Your Team:
You’ll report to the Head of Brand Marketing and work cross-departmentally with Sales, Marketing, Creative, and our executive team. You won’t be doing this alone: you’ll help build out the social team as the function grows.
What you'll do:
- Shape Finix’s social strategy with Marketing and leadership, then turn it into a channel plan and content calendar
- Own our voice across LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels, creating platform-native content that’s relevant, engaging, and on-brand
- Run executive social for our CEO and leaders, from ghostwriting and editing to spotting moments where their perspective adds value
- Launch an employee advocacy program that makes it easy for the Finix team to share our story
- Create short-form video series and visual content with Creative, from product explainers and customer stories to life at Finix
- Lead social go-to-market for product launches, partnerships, customer wins, and company news, partnering with Product Marketing and Sales on timing and messaging
- Partner with Events to promote our events and cover them live, from conference activations to our executive dinner series
- Manage and grow our community across social channels, Reddit, and industry forums: respond to comments and DMs, escalate customer issues quickly, and share what you hear with Product and Marketing
- Work with Legal and Compliance to keep sensitive posts accurate and compliant, since payments is a regulated industry
- Track performance, from engagement and audience growth to pipeline influence, and develop and implement feedback loops that help us learn and improve with every campaign
What you bring:
- 5+ years in social media marketing, ideally with experience in B2B, fintech, or SaaS, though not required
- A portfolio showing how you’ve grown a brand on channels like LinkedIn, X, and Instagram, and what that growth did for the business
- Experience ghostwriting or managing social for executives, including founders or C-level leaders
- Sharp writing and editing, with the range to write as the brand one minute and as an executive the next
- Hands-on experience with video, design, and content editing tools, and with using AI to handle tedious tasks without sacrificing quality
- Proficiency with social management and analytics tools, such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or native platform analytics
- Experience building systems and automations that make social distribution and management efficient
- A data-driven approach: you set goals, read the numbers, and turn insights into better content
- Good judgment about what to post, when to respond, and when to escalate, especially in a regulated industry
What would make us excited:
- Experience in fintech, payments, AI, or at a hyper-growth B2B SaaS company
- Experience as an early or first social hire at a growing company
- An existing following or network within the payments, AI, or tech communities
- Experience building an audience of developers or other technical buyers
- Experience with creator and podcast partnerships, paid social, or optimizing content for AI search
