About Suno

We're building the world's first creative entertainment platform, where the entire world can feel the joy and fulfilment of making music. Music is for everyone: Our users include everyone from grandmothers creating songs for their loved ones, to Grammy winners using Suno Studio, our power tool, to make the most popular hits in the world.

Building the future of entertainment requires ambition. The pace is fast, the problems are hard, and the work demands ownership and intensity. For the right people, it’s incredibly rewarding: a chance to shape a new medium, work with a small team that cares deeply about quality, make music, drink too much coffee, and build something that millions of people use to express themselves in ways that were never before possible.

Suno is the fastest growing consumer entertainment company and the leader in AI music. We are backed by leading investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, IVP, Forerunner, Union Square Ventures, Alkeon, Quiet, Matrix Partners, Schroders Capital and, NVentures (venture arm of NVIDIA).

About the Role

We’re looking for early members of our iOS team at the Senior and Staff levels. These aren’t maintenance roles — you’ll help define the architecture and experience of a product that’s genuinely changing how the world makes music.

You’ll work directly alongside the founding team, shaping technical and product decisions from the ground up. The Suno iOS app is far more than a music player: it’s a real-time AI creation studio, a social platform for sharing and discovering original music, and a showcase for some of the most advanced generative audio technology ever shipped to consumers.

At the Senior level, you’ll own major features end-to-end, drive engineering quality, and contribute to architectural decisions. At the Staff level, you’ll set the technical direction for the iOS platform, mentor the team, and define the foundations that scale us to 10x our current user base and beyond.

If you care deeply about performance, polish, and building things that feel magical to use — and you want to do that in one of the most dynamic problem spaces in tech — this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Design and build Suno’s iOS app across creation, discovery, playback, and social experiences

  • Create foundational abstractions and libraries for performant, highly interactive audio and animation

  • Collaborate closely with product and design to shape the feel, flow, and direction of the app

  • Optimize for performance, responsiveness, and delight — from frame rates to load times to micro-interactions

  • Instrument and monitor the app’s health, and iterate rapidly post-launch based on real user data

  • Set the technical direction for the iOS platform and define architectural patterns the team builds on

  • Mentor engineers and raise the bar for code quality, abstractions, and engineering culture

What You’ll Need
  • 5+ years (Senior) or 7+ years (Staff) shipping production iOS apps

  • Advanced expertise in Swift — we use SwiftUI with UIKit where necessary

  • Deep experience building fluid, polished animations and translating design prototypes into robust, production-grade code

  • Strong sense for performance: you profile, benchmark, and fix, from UI thread contention to network efficiency

  • An obsession with great user experience — you care about the details that most engineers skip

  • Comfort with ambiguity: you can scope work, make tradeoffs, and ship without a fully-defined spec

  • A collaborative spirit and strong communication — you work fluidly with designers, PMs, and backend teams

Strong Plusses

  • Experience working with audio playback systems, streaming pipelines, or real-time audio

  • Experience with social product features: feeds, follow graphs, notifications, publishing flows

  • Background designing or consuming mobile-first APIs in close collaboration with backend engineers

  • Track record building 0→1 consumer products at a fast-moving startup

  • Technical leadership or mentorship experience (especially important for Staff candidates)

Additional Notes:

  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the US.

  • This is a 5 day a week role in our Chelsea, NYC office

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role is $200K – $300K + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401k)

Benefits
  • Company Equity Package

  • 401(k) with 3% Employer Match & Roth 401(k)

  • Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance (PPO with HSA & FSA options)

  • 11 Paid Holidays + Unlimited PTO & Sick Time

  • 16 Weeks of Paid Parental Leave

  • Creative Education Stipend

  • Generous Commuter Allowance

  • In-Office Lunch (5 days per week)
