The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the delivery of interactive product features across the full stack, from the browser experience to the services that power it. You will join a small engineering group with high ownership, helping keep the product reliable and supporting colleagues on tough technical problems.

What you'll do

- Turn shared team practices into reusable, documented guides.

- Track down and fix inconsistencies between client and server state.

- Define data models that keep API contracts uniform.

- Triage production issues and carry out quick root cause analyses to protect stability.

- 2 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience.

- Hands-on individual contributor who has delivered polished, interactive features on a flagship consumer-facing product at a well-regarded technology company.

- Full-stack delivery experience, pairing a modern JavaScript front end with the backend services that support it.

- History of contributing to several sizeable projects, including leading the individual contribution on at least one mid-sized effort.

- Experience running busy production systems, from design through release.

- A reputation among colleagues as someone they turn to for debugging help and technical answers.

- Good judgment on when to adopt an outside library versus write the code in-house.

- Ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly to peers.

- Availability for in-person and synchronous collaboration when needed.

- Experience at both an established larger company and a growing startup is ideal.

Bonus points

- Experience with Go in production environments.

- Competitive programming background.

- Familiarity with Postgres and Redis.

- Depth in distributed systems.

- Familiarity with modern React data-fetching and routing libraries, websockets and lightweight state management.
