About Anthropic

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.

About the role

We’re looking for a Solutions Marketing Manager to bring Claude to market across emerging industries and newer customer segments and personas, where enterprise AI demand is moving fastest. You’ll drive the strategic positioning and go-to-market approach for Claude for organizations ranging from small businesses to ecommerce to retailers, manufacturers, and energy companies, and more. You’ll develop messaging and positioning for nuanced sub-sectors that we have yet to build for and that need their own story, and also develop narratives for the professionals who do the work inside them.

Working at the intersection of sales, product, and marketing, you'll develop segment-specific solutions that showcase Claude's transformative potential for industry-specific applications across our product portfolio. You bring deep customer empathy, technical acumen, and the ability to translate complex AI capabilities into clear, value-driven solutions that resonate with decision-makers across organizations.

This role is built for a versatile product marketer who can go deep and pivot quickly from one industry to the next for a major launch, program, or industry moment. If you’re energized by range, learn new markets fast, and want to shape how entire industries adopt AI, this role is for you.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and execute solutions marketing strategy across a number of different priority industries and customer segments

  • Craft differentiated positioning and messaging for industries and their sub-sectors across solutions pages, campaign materials, and content

  • Lead go-to-market for industry product and solution launches, including sector-specific product offerings and relevant MCP integrations and skills

  • Partner with field marketing and sales leaders to build industry points of view, use cases, and programs around major launches and flagship industry events

  • Build persona-based solutions that speak to specific types of users across industries, such as finance, legal, customer support, and operations teams

  • Adapt industry and persona narratives for different customer segments, including Enterprise, Commercial, SMB, and Startups

  • Partner with the alliances team on joint go-to-market with industry partners, including shared positioning, launch coordination, and integrated campaign moments

  • Work with communications, social, and content teams on executive thought leadership, customer stories, and speaking opportunities relevant to each industry

  • Enable sales teams with compelling materials, outbound campaigns, and pipeline-driving initiatives for priority industry accounts

  • Report on which channels and campaigns are driving results and identify opportunities for iteration

Minimum qualifications
  • Direct experience marketing software products across multiple industries or customer segments in tandem, and know how to find what’s distinct in each and what can scale across them

  • Familiar with developing solutions that span both technical and business buyers, working closely with enterprise architecture teams or transformation offices

  • Track record of building solutions that significantly expand deal sizes and accelerate sales cycles

  • Quick learner who can absorb context on new industries, buyer dynamics, and regulatory considerations rapidly, and speak credibly with the customers and partners in them

  • Strategic and tactical operator, comfortable setting an industry strategy with senior leaders and rolling up your sleeves to ship

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex AI capabilities into clear, compelling narratives for technical and business audiences

  • Thrive in a 0-to-1 environment, can shift priorities quickly, and can build processes where none exist

  • Excel at cross-functional collaboration and are comfortable being the connective tissue between product, sales, partnerships, communications, and marketing teams

  • Passionate about AI’s potential to transform how industries work while maintaining focus on responsible, safe deployment

Preferred qualifications
  • 8+ years of B2B product marketing or solutions marketing experience working inside of software companies

  • Demonstrated success in creating vertical-specific solutions for operationally intensive or regulated industries

  • Possess certifications or deep knowledge in cloud platforms, enterprise architecture - experience with usage-based or consumption pricing models strongly preferred

  • Experience marketing AI/ML products or emerging technology to enterprise buyers

  • Track record of building marketing programs from scratch at a growth-stage company

How we're different

We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.

The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.

Come work with us!

Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. Guidance on Candidates' AI Usage: Learn about our policy for using AI in our application process.
