Amex GBT is a place where colleagues find inspiration in travel as a force for good and – through their work – can make an impact on our industry. We’re here to help our colleagues achieve success and offer an inclusive and collaborative culture where your voice is valued.

Amex GBT is seeking a dynamic and thorough Sourcing and Meeting Manager to serve as the primary client liaison and strategic leader for assigned meetings and events programs. In this role, you will orchestrate every aspect of program delivery—from contract execution through final billing—while maintaining outstanding levels of customer service and building lasting client relationships. You'll work across diverse industries and program types, handling complex logistics, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and ensuring that every program exceeds client objectives and expectations.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead client partnerships by serving as the primary point of contact for assigned programs, maintaining proactive communication, and ensuring alignment between client expectations and program delivery.
  • Lead end-to-end program logistics from post-contract execution through final billing, including site inspections, itinerary development, and comprehensive program documentation.
  • Source and negotiate third-party contracts including hotels, destination management companies (DMCs), airlines, and other suppliers while monitoring attrition dates, cancellation policies, and service execution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program timelines and workflows in collaboration with clients and suppliers to ensure accurate, timely handling of all program details and requirements.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and stakeholder communication throughout the program lifecycle, from pre-launch through post-event, to ensure objectives are met and issues are resolved promptly.
  • Handle program budgets and financial forecasting, including expense tracking, billing audits, supplier payment reconciliation, and monthly financial reporting to leadership.
  • Coordinate registration, air logistics, and continuous communication with designated teams to ensure seamless program execution and real-time status updates.
  • Handle sophisticated and high-profile programs including VIP and C-level events, international initiatives, large-volume programs, and confidential projects requiring specialized attention.
  • Evaluate program outcomes and impact, conducting post-program debriefs with clients and finding opportunities for continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Maintain comprehensive program records and system documentation in accordance with internal policies and client-specific procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
What We're Looking For:
  • 5+ years of professional meeting planning and event management experience with a proven track record of successful program delivery.
  • Expertise in all aspects of meeting planning, with demonstrated ability to handle high-stakes, sophisticated programs.
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) credential or equivalent industry certification.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of management, clients, and external partners.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with intermediate-to-advanced technical skills and experience with meeting industry software (such as Cvent). Cvent experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to evaluate data, identify trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to run multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability with a demonstrated ability to handle change, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel 5-15% by airplane, rail, and/or car as program needs require.
