We're looking for a Senior Manager of Marketing Programs & Operations to serve as the strategic and operational backbone of the Marketing organization. This leader will drive planning, prioritization, budgeting, resource allocation, organizational effectiveness and cross-functional execution while serving as a trusted partner to the SVP of Marketing and Marketing Leadership Team. 

This leader will also manage and develop a high-performing team responsible for advancing Marketing’s strategic priorities, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution.

The role combines elements of strategy, operations and program management responsibilities to help build a high-performing marketing organization capable of delivering measurable business impact.

The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist, operator, and builder, someone who thrives in complexity, creates clarity from ambiguity and knows how to transform ambitious plans into operational reality.

Candidates considered for this role will be located in the San Francisco, Bay Area. There will be an in-office requirement of 3x a week.

What You'll Do

Drive Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Build and evolve the operating system that powers Marketing.
  • Partner with the marketing leadership team to translate company strategy into priorities, plans, and investments.
  • Lead annual and quarterly planning, goal setting, business reviews, and organizational planning.
  • Drive prioritization and resource allocation to maximize impact and focus.

Lead Cross-Functional Execution

  • Drive execution of Marketing's highest-priority initiatives.
  • Coordinate major campaigns, launches, growth initiatives, brand moments, and cross-functional programs.
  • Establish operating rhythms that improve accountability, visibility, and decision-making.
  • Identify risks, remove blockers, and ensure strategic initiatives stay on track.

Own Investment & Resource Planning

  • Partner with Finance and Biz Ops on budgets, forecasting, headcount, and resource allocation.
  • Develop frameworks to evaluate investments and prioritize opportunities.
  • Provide visibility into budget performance, spending, and ROI.

Build and Lead a High-Performing Team

  • Lead, coach and develop a team responsible for Marketing programs and operations.
  • Establish clear roles, goals, and accountability while fostering an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Build the team’s capabilities and structure as the needs of the Marketing organization evolve.

Build Organizational Effectiveness

  • Create systems and processes that help Marketing scale.
  • Improve visibility into priorities, capacity, execution health, and progress.
  • Simplify workflows, strengthen collaboration and drive operational excellence.

Lead Measurement & Reporting

  • Build reporting, dashboards, and business reviews that connect Marketing activity to business outcomes.
  • Track goals, strategic initiatives, and performance.
  • Deliver insights that improve decision-making and resource allocation.

Oversee Marketing Operations & Technology

  • Own marketing operations, workflows and infrastructure.
  • Improve planning systems, campaign operations, and execution processes.
  • Evaluate tools, AI solutions, agencies, and vendors that help teams move faster and work smarter.
What You'll Bring
  • 7-10+ years of experience in Strategy & Operations, Marketing Operations, Business Operations, Program Management, Consulting, or related disciplines.
  • Proven people-management experience, including building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Proven success building operating systems and leading complex cross-functional initiatives in high-growth organizations.
  • Strong experience in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, resource management, and organizational design.
  • Exceptional program and project management capabilities.
  • Experience partnering closely with executive leadership teams.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing reporting frameworks, operational dashboards, scorecards, and business reviews.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across functions and organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-functional marketing organizations.
  • Experience in consumer technology, marketplaces, SaaS, fintech, media, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Experience building Strategy & Operations, Program Management, or organizational planning functions.
  • Familiarity with modern marketing technology stacks, workflow systems, AI-enabled productivity tools, and operational best practices.

The annual U.S. salary range for this full-time position is $163,500 - $245,500. The company also offers equity and other benefits to employees, including healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance and 401(k) saving program. In addition to this wage, there are geolocation differentials that will increase pay depending on the work location. Additionally pay may vary depending on other factors including skills, experience, education, or training.
