About the Team

The Global GTM Data Science and AI Solutions team sits at the intersection of OpenAI’s products, customers, and commercial strategy. We partner closely with Sales, RevOps, Product, and leadership to turn data science and AI capabilities into practical tools that improve how we go to market and support customers.

Our work focuses on identifying high-impact opportunities, scaling AI-powered workflows, and ensuring our commercial teams have the insights and systems they need to succeed. We operate in a fast-moving environment where strategy and execution happen in parallel, and where the ability to translate technical innovation into real business impact is critical.

This team plays a key role in helping OpenAI’s GTM organization operate with greater clarity, speed, and intelligence as the company continues to scale globally.

About the Role

We are looking for a Strategy & Operations Lead to help scale the impact of Global GTM Data Science and AI Solutions at OpenAI.

This role sits at the intersection of strategic analytics, operations, market intelligence, and execution. You will partner with GTM leadership, RevOps, and data science teams to identify high-priority opportunities, drive strategic initiatives, and operationalize AI-powered solutions that improve commercial outcomes.

This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who enjoys moving between strategic thinking and hands-on execution. You will help leadership make better decisions through market insights, performance reporting, and structured problem solving, while also ensuring that new AI capabilities translate into practical tools adopted by sales and GTM teams.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading high-priority strategic analytics initiatives across Global GTM Data Science and AI Solutions, from problem definition through execution.

  • Building and scaling competitive intelligence capabilities to inform GTM strategy, product positioning, and commercial opportunities.

  • Owning business performance updates for GTM leadership, including executive-ready metrics, insights, and narratives for operating reviews.

  • Translating complex data science and AI capabilities into clear recommendations and practical workflows for business teams.

  • Creating enablement materials that help sales and GTM teams adopt new data-driven tools and AI solutions.

  • Defining scalable operating rhythms, business review cadences, and processes that improve decision-making and execution.

  • Partnering closely with RevOps, Data Science, and GTM leadership to align strategic priorities and ensure initiatives drive measurable business impact.

  • Driving clarity on ambiguous problems and structuring decisions in fast-moving, high-priority contexts.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 8+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, or consulting roles, ideally in high-growth technology environments.

  • Background in top-tier strategy consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or similar experience leading complex strategic initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of business performance management, commercial metrics, and executive reporting.

  • Experience partnering closely with sales, RevOps, business operations, or go-to-market leadership teams.

  • Excellent problem-structuring and market intelligence skills, with the ability to synthesize multiple signals into clear recommendations.

  • Comfort working at the intersection of technical and business teams, translating analytical insights into operational impact.

  • Familiarity with AI tools and workflows, and the ability to quickly understand new technologies and apply them to business problems.

  • Working knowledge of SQL or Python sufficient to QA analytical outputs or AI-generated code.

  • Exceptional communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level updates for senior leadership.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership and influence without direct authority.
