Responsibilities include researching agentic AI developments, prototyping capabilities, defining architectures, integrating runtime, policy, and observability layers, engaging strategic customers, representing the company externally, and improving operational reliability. The role requires leadership across engineering and product teams, distributed systems expertise, AI infrastructure experience, and strong communication skills.

Leads a cloud engineering team responsible for Redpanda Cloud, BYOC, Serverless, and Agentic Data Plane initiatives. Owns roadmap delivery, operational excellence, incident response, SLOs, and day-two operations while partnering with Product and customer-facing teams. Coaches, develops, hires, and retains engineers; translates product priorities into engineering plans; manages risks and dependencies; and drives reliable, high-quality launches across distributed cloud services.

Help customers adopt Redpanda by conducting workshops, architecting and implementing production-ready data streaming systems, building integrations and reusable automation, resolving technical barriers, optimizing performance, and supporting onboarding and expansion. The role partners with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Support teams while sharing technical content and best practices. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Design, build, and operate Redpanda Cloud services across AWS, GCP, and Azure. Own features end to end, lead technical architecture, and develop automated provisioning, deployment, upgrades, and self-healing systems. Maintain reliability, scalability, security, resilience, and observability for a 99.99% SLA.
