Hands-on Engineering Manager to lead and grow a distributed team building data-driven, compliant pharmacy systems. Responsibilities include architecture, coding, deployment, monitoring, microservices and API design, quality and testing standards, AI-assisted development adoption, and cross-functional partnership to deliver production-ready healthcare software.

Lead a distributed engineering team as a hands-on manager: design data-driven systems, architect microservices and REST APIs, ensure compliance and production reliability, use AI-assisted development, own full lifecycle from design to monitoring, and mentor engineers while aligning technical work with business and patient outcomes.

Build and ship production AI capabilities using AWS Bedrock, including clinical document extraction, summarization, retrieval, decision support, and workflow automation. Develop Python and FastAPI applications, integrations, tests, CI gates, and evaluation systems. Work with healthcare data standards, PHI, AWS, MySQL, and server-rendered front ends. Use and verify AI coding tools while communicating tradeoffs clearly in a remote, Linux-based environment.

Performs day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, variance analysis, and month-, quarter-, and year-end close activities. Supports audits, tax professionals, budgeting, forecasting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, process automation, and special accounting projects. Requires strong US GAAP knowledge, analytical ability, communication skills, attention to detail, and independent work capability in a remote environment.
