Product Engineer Intern will build and ship full-stack product features using React, TypeScript, and/or Python. Responsibilities include collaborating with AI engineers on agentic capabilities and prompting, improving workflows and user experiences, optimizing performance, designing APIs, testing, and participating throughout the product development lifecycle. The hybrid role is based in San Francisco and includes collaboration with designers, product managers, and experienced engineers.

The role partners cross-functionally, models data in dbt, maintains data warehouses and ELT pipelines, experiments with emerging data and AI tools, and trains teammates on effective data workspace practices.

Own and scale recruiting infrastructure, including the ATS, sourcing, scheduling, assessment tools, workflows, integrations, analytics, and automation. Build trusted recruiting dashboards and forecasting processes, improve data hygiene, lead AI and workflow experiments, and establish operating rhythms. Partner with Finance, People, Data, recruiters, and hiring managers on headcount planning and adoption. Advise stakeholders from data teams to C-level, inform product roadmap with prospect feedback, create demo content, and occasionally travel for on-site demos and events.

Build enterprise-grade authentication, authorization, and identity features across the full stack. Design and implement RBAC, provisioning (SCIM), SSO/OAuth integrations, secure public APIs, and admin workflows for auditing and compliance. Own end-to-end product changes, collaborate on architecture, and mentor engineers to deliver scalable, reliable systems for enterprise customers.

Lead development of AI-powered features and scalable agent infrastructure for Hex. Partner with Research on model prompting, build experimentation tooling, and deliver performant full‑stack user experiences using web and backend systems. Mentor engineers and drive major product initiatives.
