Lead the mechanical, electrical, and systems design of robotics subsystems from prototype through production. Direct a small team of hardware engineers, make architecture decisions, integrate controls and sensors, manage BOMs and suppliers, reduce costs, and improve field reliability. The role requires regular travel between a San Francisco robotics facility and a West Texas deployment site to resolve failures and implement design fixes.

The role requires building the corporate development function while executing complex energy infrastructure transactions from origination through close.

Deploy, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain robotic systems in remote field environments. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, software, and controls failures; conduct root-cause analysis; document procedures; maintain tooling and spares; and partner with design and manufacturing engineering to improve future systems. The role is based in San Francisco with multi-week deployments to West Texas.

Lead TAR’s robotics hardware organization, owning strategy, architecture, and technical roadmaps across mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering. Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team while scaling construction robots from prototypes to reliable higher-volume production. Oversee manufacturing, suppliers, BOM complexity, cost reduction, field hardening, and continuous improvement. Represent hardware decisions to executives, customers, partners, and investors. The role is based in San Francisco with regular field work at the West Texas deployment site.
