Own the direction and roadmap for Benchling’s Schemas platform, including schema types, computed fields, fieldsets, constraints, static properties, and data versioning. Develop customer personas and jobs-to-be-done, translate customer needs into product requirements, and partner with Engineering, Design, Customer Experience, Sales, Marketing, and other product teams. Champion structured data as the foundation for AI capabilities while balancing platform stability with incremental delivery.

Own the prioritization, roadmap, and product direction for core infrastructure teams. Translate engineering constraints, customer needs, and business priorities into outcome-focused decisions; conduct customer discovery; define requirements; coordinate across organizations; track reliability, cost, adoption, and developer productivity metrics; and partner on cloud economics, forecasting, vendor strategy, and infrastructure investments.

Leads Benchling’s enterprise applications function, owning the SaaS portfolio, architecture, integrations, platform lifecycle, and vendor strategy. Oversees revenue and finance systems programs, including quote-to-cash, pricing, packaging, and billing. Drives automation, AI adoption, self-service, audit-ready SOX controls, and measurable operational efficiency. Partners with Finance, Sales, RevOps, People, Legal, and CX leaders while developing the applications team and contractor bench.

Manage and configure Workday and the broader People technology stack, including performance, talent, time, absence, reporting, and analytics processes. Partner with HR, Finance, IT, Security, Recruiting, Legal, and business leaders to improve processes, support audits and compliance, resolve system tickets, and deliver People data insights.

Provides strategic and operational support to senior sales executives, including complex calendar management, correspondence, travel, meetings, presentations, events, expense tracking, and cross-functional initiatives. Coordinates sales events, customer meetings, hiring interviews, pipeline calls, recognition programs, and executive priorities across AMER and EMEA. Requires discretion, strong organization, event-management experience, and comfort supporting a fast-paced, metrics-driven organization.

Manage the cross-functional rollout of pricing and packaging initiatives across systems, sales, customer experience, finance, legal, and enablement. Build internal and external pricing collateral, coordinate CPQ and SKU configuration, conduct competitive pricing research, support ASP and deal analysis, and lead pilot testing. The role ensures rollout timelines, stakeholder accountability, sales readiness, and actionable competitive intelligence.

Provides first-line product support to Benchling’s global biotech customers by answering questions, troubleshooting issues, coordinating resolutions with internal teams, maintaining knowledge articles, delivering occasional training, and leading support-process improvement projects. Requires strong scientific understanding, communication, organization, customer empathy, and the ability to learn complex software quickly. The role primarily targets Level 1 support candidates, including recent life sciences graduates, while accommodating more experienced technical applicants.

Own the technical direction and delivery of Benchling’s internal tools and automation portfolio. Build production systems, SaaS integrations, workflow orchestration, CI/CD, and secure enterprise infrastructure. Partner with internal teams to identify automation opportunities, graduate prototypes into reliable systems, support production operations, enable non-engineering builders, and establish engineering standards. The role also includes technical hiring, mentoring, architecture, threat modeling, and selective application of LLMs and agentic workflows.

The Field Enablement Manager will design partner enablement frameworks, create certifications, manage training sessions, and collaborate cross-functionally for effective learning programs related to Benchling's AI platform.
