Investigate and reproduce electrical and mechanical failures on flex circuits, PCBAs, connectors, and assemblies. The role focuses on improving customer adoption, partner outcomes, capacity utilization, service quality, unit economics, and margin across Zipline’s autonomous delivery network.

Own supplier industrialization for wire harness and FPC/FFC assemblies from advanced development through mass-production qualification. Provide design-for-manufacturing guidance, assess supplier readiness, audit manufacturing processes, verify capacity, resolve supplier-caused quality issues, lead corrective actions, and support manufacturing quotations. Partner with engineering teams and contract manufacturers to improve quality, cost, responsiveness, and process efficiency.

Designs, builds, commissions, and maintains electric-motor dynamometer systems for characterization, supplier inspection, and durability testing. Owns complete test-system lifecycles, including requirements, mechanical and electrical integration, controls, instrumentation, data acquisition, safety, automation, documentation, and operations. Develops standardized software workflows, motor test datasets, supplier-deployable inspection systems, and application-representative load profiles. Collaborates with motor design, reliability, power electronics, controls, manufacturing, and supplier-quality teams while providing technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and suppliers.

Develop and industrialize electric motor and stator winding processes from prototype through production. Design tooling, fixtures, gauges, and automated equipment; conduct experiments, process trials, validation, and root-cause investigations.
