Accounting Interns support journal entries, account reconciliations, financial close activities, reporting, data cleanup, and fixed asset accounting. Design, prototype, test, and validate electrical systems for autonomous drone delivery platforms. Projects may include battery charging electronics, ground support systems, production test equipment, avionics validation, reliability testing, and root-cause investigations. Interns collaborate with mechanical, embedded, software, systems, manufacturing, and field operations teams while developing solutions for real-world deployment.

Develop and own hardware test assets for drone systems, from requirements and implementation through validation, data collection, troubleshooting, analysis, and engineering recommendations. Collaborate across engineering teams to test circuit boards, avionics, sensors, power systems, and mechanical or electromechanical assemblies. Build mechatronic systems and automation scripts, interpret datasheets, write basic component drivers, and use electrical test equipment.

Develop computational tools, optimization and sensitivity studies for aircraft and fleet design; improve simulation frameworks; build physics-based aircraft performance models; and analyze test data to validate component models. The role requires multidisciplinary physics knowledge, numerical methods, and programming expertise in Matlab, Python, Julia, Rust, or similar languages.

Supports hardware program execution across electrical, mechanical, design validation, and embedded software teams. Responsibilities include mitigating technical and program risks, defining timelines and milestones, coordinating prototype and testing activities, managing infrastructure builds and hardware allocations, tracking parts and quality, facilitating cross-functional meetings, reporting to leadership, and managing hardware changes. The internship is full-time and in person in South San Francisco or Dallas from January through April or May 2027.

Supports Zipline’s communications team through video production, social media analytics, content research, campaign execution, and asset organization. Responsibilities include assisting on video shoots, coordinating production logistics, cataloging footage, monitoring social performance and sentiment, updating content calendars, writing, supporting events, and developing content ideas. The intern collaborates with communications, marketing, brand, customer success, and community teams while building a professional portfolio.

Develop and test embedded firmware for Zipline vehicles, batteries, chargers, and ground systems. Work hands-on with hardware, sensors, power electronics, logs, test equipment, and automated safety tests. Own a scoped project through validation, investigate real-world issues, and collaborate with electrical, mechanical, systems, and test engineers under mentorship.
