The Software Engineer will enhance large-scale simulation pipelines for validating autonomous vehicle behavior, focusing on cost efficiency, reliability, and performance improvements.

Design, improve, and operate large-scale GPU- and data-intensive simulation and ML training pipelines (Ray/Kubernetes/AWS). Build production APIs, SDKs, and tools, and optimize cost, reliability, and performance to validate autonomous-vehicle behavior.

Leads cross-functional manufacturing programs to scale vehicle production. Responsibilities include developing roadmaps, schedules, validation plans, launch readiness activities, resource plans, and manufacturing strategies; coordinating suppliers and engineering teams; supporting assembly and testing; mitigating risks; tracking costs; resolving roadblocks; and communicating progress to leadership.

Develops traceable compute and controls requirements for autonomous vehicle platforms, leads compute safety analyses including FMEDA and FMEA, drives architecture tradeoffs, and coordinates verification, validation, diagnostics, and functional safety activities. The role collaborates across hardware, software, firmware, manufacturing, safety, and test teams to qualify systems, investigate failures, and ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and ISO 21448.

Lead the Primary Compute Unit program from architecture and hardware development through validation, integration, and production. Coordinate hardware, firmware, software, safety, supply chain, quality, manufacturing, and vehicle integration teams. Translate strategy into roadmaps, schedules, deliverables, budgets, and accountability systems. Manage suppliers, manufacturing readiness, issue resolution, root-cause analysis, stakeholder communications, and executive reporting while driving cross-functional alignment throughout the product lifecycle.

Owns end-to-end governance of hardware and product changes from engineering approval through cross-functional review and production-line implementation. Coordinates Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, suppliers, and production teams. Manages multi-tier supply chain impacts, readiness, documentation, training, approvals, and audit-ready records. Builds change-pipeline dashboards and automates reporting using spreadsheets, scripts, and AI tools. Continuously improves governance frameworks, gate criteria, and change-management systems.

Leads Body and Closures technical programs, coordinating engineering teams, suppliers, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and service partners. Owns schedules, costs, quality, BOM integrity, technical risks, root-cause resolution, design reviews, DFMEAs, validation, and manufacturing readiness. Supports design engineering in CATIA and 3DEXPERIENCE while driving vehicle performance, manufacturability, serviceability, and end-to-end NPI delivery.

Owns Zoox’s CATIA and 3DEXPERIENCE strategy, CAD quality standards, training programs, technical support, and collaboration processes. The role coordinates scalable instructor-led and self-paced learning, defines modeling and data-quality standards, supports CAD tooling and automation, enables secure external data exchange, and partners with Engineering, IT/PLM, vendors, and learning teams. It also builds and leads a growing team of CAD quality specialists and trainers.

Own and scale Zoox’s software systems engineering pipeline ecosystem for safety-critical autonomous vehicle software. Develop and maintain CI-enforced tooling, static and dynamic analysis pipelines, dashboards, KPIs, and instrumentation. Troubleshoot cross-platform and deterministic failures, support checker rollouts, define infrastructure strategy, and collaborate with software teams on high-assurance development processes, code reviews, incident postmortems, and delivery milestones.
