Drive design for serviceability and service readiness for autonomous vehicles. Evaluate diagnostics and controller programming across component, system, and vehicle levels; develop diagnostic tools and standardized programming requirements; create service procedures and wiring documentation; and partner with engineering, manufacturing, validation, and field technicians to improve maintenance and repair workflows.

Translate trajectories into motor, brake, and steering commands; build simulation, SIL, and HIL validation infrastructure; integrate steering, braking, motoring, and suspension subsystems; implement control-source arbitration and safety monitoring; and collaborate with controls, dynamics, safety, and validation teams.

Lead autonomy-wide initiatives to achieve driverless freeway operation. Define technical vision, strategy, and roadmap; identify and close gaps to driver-out readiness; develop and validate freeway-driving algorithms; communicate risks and trade-offs to technical and executive stakeholders; and mentor engineers. The role requires significant experience taking autonomous vehicle freeway programs from supervised to driverless operation, plus deep expertise in an autonomy domain such as planning, perception, prediction, simulation, or systems engineering.

Own and advance a deck.gl-based geospatial visualization library. Design 2D and 3D rendering capabilities for maps, road networks, lane geometry, and proprietary road structures; improve performance for large datasets; and strengthen architecture, testing, documentation, and code quality. Collaborate with Cartography and Simulation teams, mentor engineers, and build scalable shared libraries using React and TypeScript.

Lead signal and power integrity architecture for advanced robotaxi electronics and high-density PCBs. Define SI/PI constraints, routing strategies, simulation methodologies, and sign-off processes for PCIe, Ethernet, MIPI, GMSL, LPDDR, and A2B interfaces. Perform PDN analysis, lab characterization, root-cause investigations, and simulation-to-test correlation. Guide cross-functional hardware, silicon, layout, and mechanical teams while mentoring engineers and influencing technical strategy.

Develop and maintain embedded Linux firmware and cellular connectivity software for autonomous vehicle telematics control units. Integrate Qualcomm modem firmware and protocol stacks, architect host-side C/C++ interfaces, debug cross-layer LTE/5G issues, and support wireless platform prototyping. Build fleet telemetry and analytics systems, investigate field and QA issues, maintain Yocto-based Linux services and kernel code, automate testing, and collaborate with vendors and cross-functional engineering teams.

Develop and maintain Zoox’s on-vehicle Core Data systems for capturing, storing, retrieving, and transmitting autonomous vehicle data. Responsibilities include contributing to architecture, implementing high-performance fault-tolerant systems under real-time and resource constraints, owning technical problems through rollout, and collaborating on requirements, design reviews, and code reviews.

Own complex, cross-organizational AI/ML programs from strategy through delivery. Build roadmaps, schedules, milestones, budgets, metrics, and risk-management processes while aligning engineering teams and senior stakeholders. Present trade-offs and recommendations to leadership, resolve ambiguous priorities, improve program execution, scale TPM tooling and practices, and mentor other technical program managers.
