Lead U.S. federal growth across defense and civilian agencies by managing business development, capture, government affairs, strategic partnerships, proposals, and customer engagement. Identify, engage, and build pipelines of technical and industry-specialist talent for maritime and climate tech. Partner with People Team and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, use Boolean search, ATS (Ashby), and creative channels beyond LinkedIn to meet metrics-driven sourcing goals. Own sourcing strategy and candidate pipeline in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup (hybrid work).

Design, implement, and maintain FreeRTOS-based embedded firmware in C/C++ with automated unit and integration tests; build Bristlemouth integrations; create host-side test and automation tools in Python; collaborate with electrical/mechanical engineers on system integration, testing and deployments; drive releases, documentation, and technical leadership for firmware teams.

Develop production software for maritime route optimization, vessel performance and fuel-consumption modeling, voyage analysis, simulation, and route evaluation. Build and improve optimization algorithms, APIs, services, testing, and explainable recommendation systems using Rust and Python. Collaborate with engineers, product experts, and maritime specialists to translate complex physical and mathematical problems into maintainable software supporting U.S. Government and defense customers.
