As a Software Engineer in Data Infrastructure, you will build and maintain high-performance data storage systems for AI training, collaborate with experts, and optimize data processing.

Owns revenue enablement programs for North American field teams from design through rollout, measurement, and iteration. Partners with Product, Marketing, Sales Leadership, and RevOps to align go-to-market priorities. Own the full sales cycle for state, local, and higher education customers across the SLED market. Responsibilities include territory planning, outbound business development, executive relationship building, consultative selling, partner management, proof-of-concept execution, procurement, and deal closure. The role requires collaboration with SDR, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to expand public-sector adoption of Cohere’s AI platform.

Build and scale ML-optimized HPC infrastructure, manage Kubernetes-based GPU/TPU superclusters, optimize for AI/ML training, and mentor teams while innovating in ML infrastructure.

Lead Cohere's policy engagement on compute infrastructure, export controls, sovereign AI, and national AI competitiveness. Monitor and analyze relevant developments, develop policy positions, engage governments and cross-functional teams, represent Cohere in public discussions, and produce policy analysis and thought leadership to inform strategic business opportunities and public-private partnerships.

Lead Cohere’s corporate development strategy across M&A, strategic partnerships, market expansion, and government relationships. Evaluate acquisitions and investments, lead due diligence and post-merger integration, develop market-entry and partnership frameworks, negotiate complex alliances, and create joint go-to-market strategies. The role partners closely with product, engineering, legal, finance, sales, marketing, policy, and government relations teams to support sovereign AI deployments, regulatory compliance, revenue growth, and international expansion.

The role involves managing Cohere's platform for developers and enterprises, overseeing APIs, SDKs, and tooling for improved integration and user experience.

Build and ship features for Cohere’s North AI workspace platform, develop autonomous agents that interact with sensitive enterprise data, and deploy highly performant, secure applications in low-resource environments. Collaborate with researchers to productionize advanced AI models and techniques while contributing across the full stack using Python and React.

Own the full sales cycle for State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) customers in the Western US. Drive net-new acquisition via outbound outreach, partner/channel engagement, and executive relationships. Collaborate with SDRs, Sales Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to deliver proofs-of-concept, navigate procurement, and close deals while shaping product priorities with customer feedback.

Lead and scale global corporate communications: build an eight-person team, define strategy across executive, policy, internal, crisis and enterprise communications, integrate AI for content, manage channels and events, drive storytelling and data-informed programs to protect and grow company reputation.
