Own the end-to-end Temporal Cloud Namespace product lifecycle, including provisioning, configuration, capacity management, placement, scaling, APIs, SLOs, and SLAs. Define differentiated offerings and policies balancing reliability, performance, residency, isolation, and cost. Partner with engineering, SRE, operations, and commercial teams to deliver scalable multi-tenant infrastructure capabilities and clear customer experiences.

Lead the full software development lifecycle for internal and customer-facing observability systems. Design, build, deploy, support, and optimize scalable distributed systems and high-throughput data pipelines. Own reliability, performance, testing, documentation, and production readiness; participate in on-call support. Design, build, deploy, and support scalable distributed observability systems for internal developers and customers. Lead the software development lifecycle, develop and review designs, ensure testing and production readiness, investigate reliability and performance issues, participate in on-call support, and collaborate across teams to improve Temporal’s infrastructure and platform capabilities.

Own customer production readiness and activation for Temporal platforms, driving initial workflows into stable, scalable production. Establish reliability, observability, alerting, governance, and operational standards; resolve complex technical issues; manage technical risks, migrations, and architectural debt. Lead KPI-driven success plans, cross-functional delivery, technical reviews, training, and customer enablement while supporting adoption, renewals, and growth.

Lead the architecture and delivery of scalable backend systems supporting customer onboarding, account lifecycle management, billing, metering, marketplace integrations, revenue data synchronization, and customer-facing usage reporting. Build reliable distributed systems, data pipelines, and integrations while ensuring correctness, observability, compliance, and operational readiness. Partner with Finance, RevOps, Sales, Support, Product, and Engineering, provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and improve customer and developer experiences.

Lead the technical vision, architecture, and implementation of large-scale cloud infrastructure powering Temporal Cloud. Drive multi-cloud compute, traffic, security, automation, scalability, performance, and reliability initiatives. Provide hands-on coding, technical mentorship, design review leadership, roadmap development, cross-team alignment, executive advising, and customer engagement while elevating engineering and operational excellence.

Design, build, and operate highly scalable, multi-tenant cloud storage systems for workflow data. Responsibilities include developing persistence APIs, storage abstractions, replication paths, caches, tiered storage, and observability; improving reliability and performance through SLOs, chaos testing, profiling, and incident reviews; leading technical designs, mentoring engineers, and collaborating across teams.

Build and operate Temporal Cloud’s managed compute platform, including autoscaling systems, multi-tenant execution services, cloud integrations, control and data plane boundaries, security controls, observability, and reliability practices. Lead API design, rollout, incident response, technical reviews, cross-team collaboration, and mentorship for production platform capabilities.

Own the product strategy and roadmap for Temporal’s self-hosted and hybrid deployment offerings. Lead improvements to installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, operational tooling, storage choices, multi-region and multi-cloud topologies, and Temporal Proxy. Partner with Engineering, Resident Architects, Security, Support, and customer-facing teams to translate enterprise requirements into reliable, operable infrastructure products, particularly for regulated and controlled environments.

Serve as the frontline technical expert for Temporal’s developer community. Deploy and scale cloud-native infrastructure, troubleshoot distributed systems, optimize performance, improve reliability, and build automation and observability solutions. Work directly with developers and engineering teams on Kubernetes, networking, monitoring, and infrastructure best practices. Translate customer use cases into architecture recommendations and influence platform improvements through strong technical communication.
