Apply proof assistants and formal verification infrastructure to real systems, run large experiments, iterate on tool designs, and document findings. The role involves owning complex research and engineering problems, collaborating with a small technical team, using AI agents, and helping shape technical direction.

Work directly with the CEO to manage organizational operations, including HR, contracts, vendors, recruiting, onboarding, partnerships, reporting, proposals, and internal systems. The role also tackles open-ended strategic and operational problems, evaluates opportunities, supports research collaborators, builds organizational culture, and establishes processes for a growing neuroscience research organization.

Design and validate research hardware for human and animal neuroscience experiments, including ultrasound systems, electrophysiology implants, headstage interfaces, circuit boards, and test rigs. Translate scientific needs into requirements, guide external engineering partners, improve device portability and robustness, determine what to build internally, manage contractors, and prepare documented, reproducible platforms for outside researchers.
