Top Tech Jobs & Startup Jobs in San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Design, build, wire, document, and commission electrical control systems for robotic workcells. Responsibilities include integrating power distribution, drives, PLCs, safety systems, sensors, industrial networks, harnesses, and custom PCBs. The role also involves factory-floor commissioning, troubleshooting electrical faults under production conditions, and ensuring systems are safe, serviceable, and code-compliant.

Build, test, and improve mechanical and electromechanical systems for robotic workcells. Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and software interfaces during cell bring-up, diagnose failures under load, validate fixes, and document results. The role requires hands-on ownership of physical systems, strong engineering fundamentals, practical debugging skills, and the ability to explain work end to end.

Support founders with customer and supplier follow-up, scheduling, order and parts tracking, and project coordination for an AI robotics hardware company. The role is full-time, in person in San Francisco, and requires a minimum three- to four-month commitment.

Build a scoped robotics software feature or diagnostic tool alongside an engineer. Write tests, inspect sensor data, reproduce runtime failures, and document interfaces, test results, and limitations. The role involves working with real hardware in person at the company’s San Francisco facility.

Assist with building and testing control sequences and sensor interfaces for AI robot workcells. Reproduce faults, document measurements, improve commissioning checks, and independently complete a scoped controls task from test planning through documented results under engineering supervision. The role requires safe hardware-testing practices and hands-on controls, electronics, or robotics project experience.

Build, test, commission, and debug control systems for robotic workcells. Diagnose motor, sensor, and hardware-interface issues, document tests, identify root causes, validate fixes on physical systems, and collaborate with engineers during cell bring-up. The role requires end-to-end ownership of controls or automation projects and strong electrical and controls fundamentals.

Build and own software connecting perception, planning, and control on real robot hardware. Develop tests, diagnostics, and logging tools to reproduce intermittent failures. Debug sensor and runtime issues with engineers deploying robotic workcells, and validate fixes directly on hardware. The role requires strong Python or C++ fundamentals, experience shipping software on robotic or hardware systems, and comfort debugging across software-hardware interfaces.

Assist with designing, assembling, and testing fixtures or electromechanical subsystems for AI robot workcells. Measure fit and repeatability, compare test results with designs, update documentation, and collaborate with software and controls engineers on subsystem interfaces. The role is hands-on and in person in San Francisco, with a minimum three- to four-month commitment.

Build software connecting perception, planning, and control on real robot hardware. Develop tests, diagnostic tools, and logging systems to reproduce intermittent failures. Debug sensor and runtime issues while bringing robotic workcells into operation. The role requires strong Python or C++ fundamentals and comfort working across software and hardware interfaces. Robotics projects involving ROS/ROS 2, computer vision, or robot motion are useful but not required.

Design, build, and test fixtures, end effectors, sensors, actuators, and electromechanical assemblies for AI robot workcells. Improve reliability using test results, verify tolerances against real parts, and document build and service procedures. The role requires hands-on ownership of mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics projects, including CAD, drawings, fabrication, testing, and troubleshooting.
